Marissa is a practising Crown Prosecutor with Specialized Prosecutions. She is a former criminal defence lawyer, and in her spare time, participates in various theatre endeavors to support local companies.

Dan Yereniuk was born and raised in Edmonton, and is currently a lawyer in Dentons Canada LLP’s real estate practice group. He has been an associate with the firm since 2016 when he was called to the Alberta Bar, and prior to this he summered and articled with Dentons. Dan’s practice incorporates all aspects of commercial real estate law including purchase and sale transactions, property development, leasing, and financing.

Dan is a passionate advocate for social justice and working to create strong, safe communities through the programs offered by enCompass.

Christine is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in finance and administration, demonstrating expertise in accounting, cash flow management, strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis. Throughout her career, she has excelled as a visionary and strategic leader, successfully developing and implementing strategic plans, fostering continuous improvement, and collaborating effectively with senior executives and partners.

Beyond her professional achievements, Christine has a deep commitment to nonprofit work and a passion for making a positive impact in the community. Currently, she also serves as the Board Chair of the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation, actively advocating to end domestic violence and drive policy change. Additionally, she holds the position of Board President with Caregivers Alberta, where she focuses on supporting and empowering caregivers. Furthermore, Christine sits on the board of Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS) and is part of their survivor advocacy group.

Andre Tinio was born in Wainwright, Alberta and his family was one of the first to move there from the Philippines. He later moved to Edmonton to pursue post-secondary education and completed a degree in Sociology with a Community Service Learning certificate at the University of Alberta, and later obtained a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary.

As a registered social worker, he currently provides professional practice support and ethical consultation for members of the Alberta College of Social Workers. He previously volunteered with the Zebra Centre where he provided external practicum supervision to social work students and supported their diversity committee. Andre has also served on the City of Edmonton’s Community Safety and Well-being Task Force that developed recommendations to address racism, discrimination, excessive use of force, poverty and homelessness based on trends, best practices, and change models from across Canada.

Andre is proud to bring his knowledge in regulation, inclusion, diversity, and equity to support the fundamental work of enCompass.

Erika Rebus, CPA, CMA, is a business strategist who enjoys the challenge of creative problem solving. As the Manager of Business Planning and Performance in the City of Edmonton’s Department of Urban Planning and Economy, Erika is passionate about making Edmonton an inclusive, thriving city. She brings over 15 years of public sector experience, including business planning, performance measurement, reporting, forecasting, and regulatory policy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and chasing after her two adorable children.

Steve is the Vice President, Finance & Technology for Legal Aid Alberta (LAA). He ensures that systems and infrastructure necessary to support front-line staff in delivering legal services to clients are sufficient and reliable, as well as preparation of budgets, business plans, and sustainability plans for review by the Board of Directors and LAA’s funders.

Steve has a wealth of experience in federal, provincial and municipal governments. He has worked with the Canada Revenue Agency, Parks Canada, the Government of Alberta and several other organizations. Stephen is a CPA-CGA who brings wide-ranging experience to his role with LAA and the board of enCompass.

Sarah has been a Probation Officer with the Province of Alberta for 2.5 years and during this time she has worked on several different committees and units, she is currently sits on the Domestic Violence Committee. Prior to her work in Probation, Sarah worked at Native Counselling Services of Alberta both in their head office and at Buffalo Sage Wellness House – a correctional facility for women. She has also worked at the Edmonton Institution for Women as a Social Programs Officer. Sarah has always had a passion for working with people. As a young high school graduate she accepted a position as a Program Manager at a respite home for young people with severe disabilities. Sarah is equally passionate about working with Indigenous People. To this end she has been blessed to have had several Elders guide her and teach her. Most importantly Sarah is dedicated to her work in Corrections and believes that with the right supports in place all those incarcerated can be successfully reintegrated a become fully engaged in the community. Sarah was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan but moved to the Edmonton area at a very young age so she considers Edmonton to be her home. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA specializing in Sociology and Criminology

Kim Collister is the Volunteer and Staff Resource Manager at Boys and Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters (BGCBigs). During her 20 plus years with BGCBigs she has participated in a variety of opportunities to support HR in the non-profit sector including the Edmonton HR Cluster Group, Alberta Mentoring Partnership (AMP), Risk Management and Lean Management training and the employment of young people facing barriers. Early in her career, after graduating with a BA in Criminology from the U of A, Kim was involved in providing programming at the Edmonton Institution for Women and with Child and Family Services.

Brandon is the Compliance Lead at SIRKit Ltd, previously to that he spent over 10 years working as a senior IT administrator for an enterprise organization. He brings a strong technical background with a passion for helping both organizations and people understand both how their technology is holding them back or helping them succeed. His current work brings him frequently in conversation with business leaders to assess and build achievable plans for their technology future.

As a lifelong resident of Edmonton he brings a passion for local organizations and initiatives and tries to support them both inside and outside the workplace. Brandon has seen the impact that the team at enCompass has had and is passionate about helping the team continue to realize those goals.

Melissa Santoro was born and raised in Edmonton, and is currently Executive Director, People and Culture with Civida, Edmonton’s largest affordable housing provider. She has been a practicing Certified Human Resources Professional for over sixteen years, spending most of her career in the post secondary sector. Melissa specializes in labour relations, talent management and organizational culture and is passionate about making meaningful strides in equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Melissa is an advocate for social programs and working to create strong, safe communities through the programs offered by enCompass.

Stefan was born and raised in Germany and moved to Edmonton in 1997. He is the President/CEO of CAREERS: the Next Generation, a nonprofit organization connecting high school youth to potential future career pathways through industry-based work integrated learning opportunities. Before joining CAREERS, Stefan was a global director with an international engineering and consulting firm and lived and worked in several countries. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Geography from Germany and a Master’s degree in Responsibility and Business Practice from the U.K.

Stefan is passionate about supporting youth and young adults finding their path to successful and rewarding careers, particularly for marginalized youth. He sits on the UofA Frank Robinson Youth Academy steering committee and has been a member of various provincial tasks forces and committees on career education.

DeAnn is the CEO of enCompass Community Safety Agency supporting those who have been affected by crime and social disorder. As a seasoned executive with more than 20 years in business, health care and the community sector, DeAnn is known for driving transformational change, maximizing operational excellence and building collaborations to enhance the lives of individuals. DeAnn is passionate about mental health and community development. She has held numerous community board appointments including Board Chair for Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters, Board Chair for Terra Centre and a Board member with the Mental Health Foundation. DeAnn holds an undergraduate degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice and a MBA in executive leadership. In her spare time, DeAnn can be found running in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley.

Clarissa Robinson is the Director of Finance & Administration at enCompass, where she oversees administrative operations and ensures compliance with the complex regulations in the non-profit sector. With 18 years of experience, she provides strategic guidance to help organizations navigate challenges with confidence. Clarissa plays a key role in strengthening financial systems and supporting sustainable growth.

Kaela Hendra is the Director of Client Experience at enCompass, overseeing key functions that support program delivery, including data, impact, and innovation. She leads strategic initiatives, partnerships, and service improvements to strengthen reintegration, housing, employment, and community safety supports. Kaela has played a key role in operationalizing collaborative initiatives with community partners and government agencies. Passionate about breaking barriers, she is dedicated to creating welcoming spaces and ensuring individuals have the resources they need to build stable, successful futures.

During her 25+ years with the agency, Alanna has worked in various roles supporting youth at risk in community settings before moving into leadership. With deep operational expertise, she balances recovery-focused, client-centered care with justice and related system requirements. She drives quality, innovation, and program development across the agency. Alanna thrives on breaking down barriers that hinder staff from supporting clients, ensuring they receive the best possible opportunities on their journey to success.

Ashleigh has been part of the enCompass team since 2011, contributing to adult and youth services. As Housing Division Manager, she supports program operations to ensure proper client care. Her programs remove barriers to stable housing, build life skills, and enhance well-being. She finds fulfillment in witnessing clients’ transformations, knowing that with the right support and a safe home, they can rebuild their lives. Being part of their journey toward stability is both rewarding and meaningful.

Blake Harris is passionate about serving the community and creating opportunities for clients to showcase their strengths and leverage their experiences for fulfilling and peaceful lives. With 8 years at enCompass, Blake began on the frontline serving youth, where the experience instilled the core value that everyone has the capacity for change. He is now the Manager of Client Journey and Success and continues to look for new ways to improve client experiences. Outside of work, Blake enjoys spending time with family, playing sports, and connecting with nature.

Chandon Griffin serves as the Executive Assistant at enCompass, functioning as the behind-the-scenes orchestrator who ensures the executive team operates smoothly. From managing schedules to crafting internal communications, Chandon excels at transforming complexity into clarity. With a strong background in communications, Chandon takes pride in how their work supports the organization, empowering the team to make a meaningful impact for clients. Passionate about collaboration, Chandon enjoys working with enCompass’s diverse and talented teams while continuously learning something new every day.

Darren Crawford is the Manager of the Justice Community division, overseeing programs such as the Domestic Violence Justice Response (Nalah & DVCAP) and Edmonton Drug Treatment Court Services. With over 25 years of experience in community and inpatient addiction and mental health, Darren has held roles as a recreational therapist, addiction counselor, and manager with AHS. Darren is passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals with dignity and respect, empowering them on their wellness journey through enCompass programs.

Jennifer is the Finance Manager at enCompass, responsible for preparing financial statements for all programs and collaborating closely with the Finance team on the back-end processes required to produce those statements. She also manages funding tracking, assists with budgeting, and works with program managers to ensure program finances remain in good standing. Before joining enCompass, Jennifer gained experience in public practice as well as in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Outside of work, she can often be found at an Oilers game, attending a country concert, or curled up with a good book.

Kim Ashley is an experienced Human Resources Manager at enCompass Community Safety Agency, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment. With a strong background in Human Resources Strategy, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, leadership and Benefits & Compensation, Kim is dedicated to enhancing the agency's workforce and ensuring its continued success. Her passion for people-centered solutions and commitment to creating a positive workplace culture make her an invaluable asset to the team.

As the Manager of the Justice Residential Division, Lynn oversees three key programs: Journey Home, Independence Apartments, and 101 Street Apartments. Lynn’s journey with enCompass began 18 years ago as a Practicum Student, and a passion for the work has kept her with the organization ever since. Dedicated to assisting individuals through the reintegration process following incarceration and hospitalization, Lynn ensures that both clients and staff are treated equitably and have access to the necessary resources and supports to foster meaningful change in individuals' lives and within the criminal justice system itself. The most fulfilling aspect of Lynn’s work is witnessing individuals increase their self-awareness, develop their identity, and improve their ability to take control of and transform their lives, one step at a time.

Sara Riddle, Manager of Community Safety & Wellbeing, is dedicated to driving transformative initiatives that prioritize community safety, successful reintegration, and the prevention of family violence. Through strategic collaboration and a commitment to positive social change, she leads efforts to create lasting, positive change in the lives of individuals and families.
